Steve Jost is a Senior Programmer with D. Brown Management as part of the Technology Solutions Group which includes network management, management reporting, software development and software integration. Steve began learning computer programming in the mid 1990s and his insatiable need to “figure things out” made him a valuable recruit for a custom programming firm where he managed large-scale database projects such as the California voter database. This need to understand how business processes integrate with technology served him well as he moved to the construction industry where he specializes in bringing disparate data together including estimating, CRM, accounting and project management together providing valuable business insight for contractors.

Prior to the move to D. Brown Management Steve managed the IT systems for a $50M+ multi-office electrical contractor. Key accomplishments include detailed data conversion to and from a variety of accounting systems, implementation of CRM systems, various custom programming and reporting projects including automated weekly project summaries that help keep clients on-track and cash management tools that have been crucial in the current economy. Industry software expertise includes Viewpoint, Timberline, Spectrum, Jonas, Coins, ConEst, SharpSoft, On-Center, Microsoft CRM, Act!, Goldmine and Primavera.
