SUE WEILER-DOKE has a passion for people, especially those in the “mach-five-hair-on-fire” world of construction. With 40 years in the industry, she made a huge impact at Kiewit Corporation, where she held various leadership roles before becoming the Business Director. After retiring from Kiewit, she worked in the labor management side of construction, tackling labor and management advocacy, contract interpretation, member engagement and communication, and trust governance.
Sue is a certified Gallup Strengths coach who helps individuals, teams, and managers boost their effectiveness, team dynamics, conflict resolution skills, and leadership abilities. Committed to lifelong learning, she holds a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology and is nearing the completion of her doctorate in organizational leadership and development. Since 2012, Sue has been serving on the Board of Directors for the College of Saint Mary and is the current Board Chair.
With 40 years in the construction industry and tons of experience in talent management, Sue knows what contractors need. She’s worked on heavy civil, building, and precast projects ranging from $100k to $1.5B all over the West Coast, including Canada. A whiteboard and sticky note enthusiast, Sue loves gathering the team for a quick mind map or workflow session. She’s done it all—from strategic planning and project management to leadership development and labor relations—and is always ready for the next big challenge.
